Black preachers vs. White preachers
Well Martin Luther King Day is in the rearview mirror.
While I was cutting strings off a hay bale this morning, I had an epiphany. It seems as though the well known black preachers are held to a lower moral standard than the white ones.
Jesse Jackson has had all sorts of trouble keeping his pants up. Martin Luther King, Jr. was wiretapped by the FBI before his death, and it is common knowledge that those tapes revealed at least one extra-marital affair. These moral failures seem to be conviently swept into oblivion by their rabid supporters because of their work for social justice.
We all know what happens to white preachers when they are caught doing something naughty.
THEY are called hypocrites!

Let me pose this for you:
Jesus Christ was accussed of many things by people of his day. Many low-down, dirty, immoral crimes. He was even executed.
Do you consider his followers to be hypocrites?

Either that, or those preachers are more liberal.....
A few years ago Jesse Jackson was profiled in the New Yorker, where his infidelities were part of the subject. He explained it like this: We're all sinners. Although some sins are worse than others, only God judges sin; another Christian who presumes to pass judgment is actually committing a sin by usurping God's perogative. He confessed, he repented, he's forgiven. End of story. Why white Christians don't have the same humility before God tells a lot about their relationships to faith.
Tell me this--which sin is worse: dropping your pants for some extramarital sinning and acknowledging it when you're caught, or denying the sin occurred until incontravertable evidence comes forth?
That's because the black preachers are having sex with women as opposed to MEN.
